How you can get this offer

Step one

Check the cover level / features and the price of your AA or RAC renewal quote.

Step two

Get a quote on our website for the closest equivalent cover to your AA or RAC renewal.

You can use the comparison tables below for more information.

Step three

If you decide to purchase our cover, and it's not at least half the price of your AA or RAC renewal, we'll pay you the difference.

To receive your payment, email us within 30 days.

Your email must include:

  1. Proof of your previous AA or RAC renewal quote
  2. Your new Green Flag policy reference number

We'll review all this and pay you within 14 working days.

Check these examples

Scenario one

Someone has an AA renewal quote for Roadside Assistance of £100.

They get a £40 quote on the Green Flag website for Rescue (our closest equivalent cover), and purchase it.

In this scenario, the person would not be owed anything by Green Flag.

This is because their Green Flag cover costs less than half the price of their AA renewal. Half of £100 is £50, and Green Flag's cover is already cheaper than this.

Scenario two

Someone has an RAC renewal quote for Roadside + Recovery + At Home of £150.

They get a £90 quote on the Green Flag website for Recovery Plus (our closest equivalent cover), and purchase it.

In this scenario, the person would be owed £15 by Green Flag.

This is because their Green Flag cover costs more than half the price of their RAC renewal. Half of £150 is £75. Green Flag's cover is £90. So, the customer would be owed the difference, which is £15.

All the terms and conditions

  • For existing AA and RAC customers only with a valid renwal notice.
  • Your AA/RAC renewal quote must be on the closest equivalent basis to ours, as shown in the comparison table.
  • This offer is applicable to your AA/RAC original renewal invited price, and not any further discounted price that they may offer you.
  • Offer only applies to policies bought through the Green Flag website and excludes policies sold through our call centre, any of our partners, and policies sold on Price Comparison Websites.
  • Vehicle covered must be privately registered in the UK.
  • Offer only applicable on UK-based cover levels for Vehicle Cover only. The offer is not available:
    • On cover levels that includes any European Cover
    • On quotes that include Personal Cover
    • For vehicles aged 26 years old or over
  • AA/RAC renewal proof required via email within 30 days of purchasing your Green Flag policy.
  • Proof will be used solely for the purpose of validating the price given by the previous provider. No information will be kept.
